  As a HungerCorps Summer Associate, I worked with Mercy Housing, a low income housing nonprofit that operates on a national scale, to provide children in the community I served with free, federally funded summer meals. Responsibilities included planning community events, aiding in meal distribution for the federal summer meals program and tutoring kids in school subjects to prevent the summer slide.   As a part of the Bloustein Honors Research Program, I am completed a content analysis of interview data on maternal mortality in Bolivia. I conducted interviews on a solo research trip to La Paz, Bolivia through the Rutgers Honors College. In completing my Honors College Capstone Project through this program, I am part of a select number of students conducting in-depth research on a topic of my choosing.
