  Developed Xsite:FMMS – a facility maintenance management system using the CA Ingres development tool, OpenRoad. Databases used were Ingres and Oracle. Besides the general product releases, also developed major enhancement projects for ALCOA(WA), BHP Petroleum, Royal Australian Navy and Queensland Rail.Design and develop WJRM – a web-enabled Job Request Module using the .NET (Framework 1.0) technology with C# as the development language. It was developed with an N-Tier architecture with the application having been carefully separated into multiple logical, functional layers, namely, the thin client Presentation tier, the Business Logic tier and the Data tier. The first version was a pure web application that used standard web browsers for the front-end of the application. This was followed by a version that employs a Windows Smart Client application as the new front-end of the system, effectively replacing the web browsers used by the previous version. It communicates with the Business Logic layer and the Database via XML web services designed for use in an internet/intranet environment.Databases used by this product were Ingres(1 to 2.6) and Oracle(7 to 9i).PS: The Online Workshop Pty Ltd has integrated its Australian business with that of KDR Creative Software Pty Ltd into a new independent legal structure, SmartAsset Software Pty Ltd, an Australian wholly-owned company.   In mid 2006, I was transferred to a new company floated by the KDR Creative Software management called The Online Workshop.I was assigned the challenging task of designing the foundation layers for the new flagship product of this company called SmartAsset. This product was a complete revamp of the existing product FMMS (owned by KDR Creative Software) using .NET (Framework 2.0) as its premier development tool. The duration of the SmartAsset development project was 18-months long, with the completion date set for January 2008. This new challenge saw me design an N-Tier architecture for SmartAsset from scratch, while establishing robust development and technical guidelines for the product at the same time. The product was well and truly on its way with the development progressing smoothly based on a solid foundation of sound design and programming principles. SmartAsset was also the proud winner of the inaugural Microsoft OBA Solution of the Year 2008 Award at the Microsoft Office System Developer Conference 2008 held at the San Jose Conference Center in California.The product was being developed in .NET using C# (MS VS2005, Framework 2.0, MS Vista).Database used by this product was MS SQL Server 2005.PS: The Online Workshop Pty Ltd has integrated its Australian business with that of KDR Creative Software Pty Ltd into a new independent legal structure, SmartAsset Software Pty Ltd, an Australian wholly-owned company.
