      Graduate of the Institute for Young Leaders, a 4-month specialised leadership training program for young adults from around the world, which aims to equip young adults with the tools necessary to impact their communities as well as developing a network of peers from similar backgrounds to promote collaboration. The program includes daily classes, activities and volunteer work within the wider community, particularly with the elderly, disabled and at-risk populations.

      Research assistant working on a diverse set of projects examining: the barriers and enablers to the delivery and uptake of long-acting reversible contraceptives, the implementation of NHMRC obesity guidelines in general practice and avoidable presentations to emergency departments by the elderly. As a Research Assistant, I gained insight into the conduct and ethics of health services research and an appreciation of the complexities involved in translating evidence into clinical practice.

      Coordinated the development of BroSupPORT, an online portal that supports men living with prostate cancer 12 months after treatment, by helping them to understand how the side effects they might be experiencing compare with men of similar age and risk profile who have received the same treatment using Patient Reported Outcomes (PROs) data from the Prostate Cancer Outcomes Registry-Victoria. The program is sponsored by the Victorian Agency for Health Information (VAHI) and has been developed in collaboration with Monash University as the managers of the Prostate Cancer Outcome Registry-Victoria (PCOR-Vic); Movember as funders of PCOR-Vic; and Alfred Health as the nominated lead Victorian public health service. SCV works with clinicians and consumers to help health services deliver better, safer healthcare to Victorians. The Partnering and Consumers team, Centre of Clinical Excellence, is responsible for internal and external collaboration on the Partnering in Healthcare Framework, enabling conditions for effective partnering between clinicians and people with lived experience across the health sector. The team is also engaged in facilitating the Co-Design NOW training program, both internally to SCV and Department of Health staff as well as externally to health services and consumers across the sector.
