  Working as Ravenna’s web developer was a short-lived but treasured experience. I had done some contract work for them and they wanted to bring me on full-time because they liked my work. Unfortunately they could not keep me on, but I still have a great working relationship with them and perform contract work for them, which is reflected in the list below. This is where I learned to work with a tech focused team including project managers, designers, and other developers. We built some really cool websites in Laravel, architected a custom CRM, and developed internal container tools in Vagrant and Docker to speed up production. Since leaving, I’ve worked on mobile phone apps for them in React Native, specifically for a fintech money saving app, and am architecting a large freight shipping web app for them using Laravel.   I worked on a team of 7-9 people to brand and market UWKC, run fundraising campaigns, marketing campaigns, and other fun and challenging projects. I utilized my skills in front web development daily, coding in Javascript, React, jQuery, HTML, and CSS. I was able to develop backend internal tools and improve site performance using a custom WordPress theme built in PHP. This theme went through several iterations of UI and UX audits focusing on accessibility and inclusiveness for the front end. This not only increased user engagement, but also donations! I had the pleasure of building internal tools for other teams, connecting the website to our CRM solution in Microsoft Dynamics, and using Azure Cosmos DB and Azure functions to create some really cool live fundraising micro-apps. To improve our SEO efforts I created an internal SEO auditing tool that used the power of OpenAI to scan hundreds of URLs, rank keyword use, and compare content to site purpose and intention.
