  One great thing I love about being a Teaching Assistant (TA), is the opportunity to have an impact on first years experience at Brock in Sport Management. Being able to provide insight, information related to both course and non-course material, as well as just being a contact to utilize in the sport industry has me looking forward to seminars every week. On top of being someone for a student to come to, I have a responsibility to educate, evaluate, and lend a hand to them as they are responsible for seminar presentations and research papers. I used multiple social media platforms and websites to input data from athlete registrations, waiver forms, team placements, and maintaining accurate results, standings, and player statistics.One part of my job that I loved was keeping in good standing with coaches, parents and athletes at all times to ensure a safe, competitive, and fun atmosphere; development of communication and crisis management skills. This job really gave me an opportunity to enhance my program creation, supervision, and development skills.   Having a managerial job over the summer allowed me to experience a different side of business. Overall, I was responsible for overseeing Pro Shop Operations throughout all time periods of the day.As well, I was in charge of Ladies League (up to 90 members), including weekly games, draws, facilitation, and follow up questions, comments, or concerns. I got the opportunity to assist and direct hosted tournaments; including finances, cart rentals, food and beverage, as well as any signage/prizes, and course extras based on tournament requests.
