  Bodywork Lead Engineer

  • Participated in the summer design team 2018, consisting of 13 students and various university supervisors, to build a 4-seater solar car for the World Solar Challenge 2019 in Australia. • Designed the car’s roll cage and bodywork including seats and doors using Solidworks CAD modelling.• Analysed roll cage, seat and door panel structural performance under various load conditions using finite element analysis (FEA) software Abaqus.• Explored various manufacturing methods utilizing carbon fibre (Mold making) and steel (CNC bending & joint brazing). • Participated in the World Solar Challenge 2019 in Australia. The team drove our self-developed solar car 524km across a public highway from Darwin to Adelaide.   • Involved in the development cycle of NX 1899 and NX 1926. Designed both manual workflow and Python tests to verify and validate functions, commands and UI display.• Worked on actual client NX data to understand how users utilise NX along with Teamcenter and diagnose any major flaws in the system for a specific workflow or function, with primary focus on PCA variance, Shared Session across different users and mechanical routing using PTS templates.• Created C++ and Python validation tests that run periodically based on past customer-reported problems and bugs.• Explored and pilot tested Simcenter CAE in NX 1926.• Worked collaboratively in an international team.
