  My internship period at the center (Nov 2015-May 2017) allowed me to develop both my teamworking skills, as well as my comunication and problem solving skills while working with clients, during both sales and while assisting instructors. After receiving training in safety, rescue and Emergency First Response, I began teaching diving classes, working with children, HUET safety diving at major offshore survival companies such as ‘Petrofac Training Limited` and ‘Falck Safety Services UK` as well as providing safety cover to diverse areas such as pool based mini ROV trails.   Genetics and Genomics PhD

  Genome editing for resistance to white spot syndrome virus in whiteleg shrimp.The overarching goal of the project is to generate whiteleg shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) that are resistant to white spot syndrome virus (WSSV). This requires experiments to understand the mechanisms of host response to the virus to generate potential targets, and optimisation of genome editing techniques in this species.
