      I worked as a transport planner and school travel advisor on a range of infrastructural, educational and policy projects. This included liaising directly with 75 schools to increase sustainable travel amongst students, staff and parents. I was responsible for writing transport policy, improving public transport infrastructure and services, and developing learning/marketing materials.

      I undertook a longitudinal study that examined how intensification and community formation processes were experienced and interpreted by a range of stakeholders, including existing residents, new residents, developers, local government and community interest groups. It also examined challenges in the intensification process, especially related to place-attachment, place protectionism, and the politics surrounding higher-density development in a predominantly low-density city (Auckland, NZ).
