  Worked as Chief Track Engineer at North-East Frontier Railway, Guwahati responsible for planning, budgeting, execution, maintenance, procurement and all technical matters related to Track. Later, worked as first Chief Engineer on the newly created North-Central railway at Allahabad and responsible for complete planning and creation of infrastructure for the new zone for its operationalization. Later, I worked on Northern Railway as CE/TS and CE/Con.

  Responsible for Planning, procurement, budgeting, monitoring the track machines on Indian Railways. Created the 'Vision' document for IR. Introduced the concept of 'Fixed Time Corridor Block' concept on IR. Assisted the Chairman Railway Board directly while occupying the position of ED/ Corporate Coordination.

  Headed the Project on New Rail Link project worth $5 billion involving nearly 110 km of tunnelling through Himalayas and mega bridges over very deep gorges/rivers. Commissioned 118 km of stand alone new line network in Kashmir Valley in J&K State under very adverse security and climatic conditions.

  Headed Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India (DFCCIL), a Special Purpose Vehicle (Schedule 'A' Company) set up under the administrative control of Ministry of Railways to undertake planning & development, mobilization of financial resources and construction, maintenance and operation of the Dedicated Freight Corridors. DFCCIL was incorporated in October 2006 under Indian Companies Act 1956.In the first phase, DFCCIL will be constructing two corridors – the Western DFC and Eastern DFC- spanning a total length of about 3300 route km. The Eastern Corridor, starting from Ludhiana in Punjab will pass through the states of Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and terminate at Dankuni in West Bengal. The Western Corridor will traverse the distance from Dadri to Mumbai, passing through the states of Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Maharashtra. Show less
