  "Peningkatan Fungsi Ruang Terbuka Hijau sebagai Media Edukasi"The existence of green open space is quite important in an urban area. The importance of green open space in urban areas initiates some people to use existing land as green land. The existing green open space in Bakti Jaya Village, Depok City shows that public awareness of climate change already exists. This community concern can also be shown by planting plants, making biopori and infiltration wells, urban farming practices, waste banks, and so on. This can be further enhanced by the use of its functions by utilizing this green open space as an educational medium. In improving the function of this green open space as an educational medium, we use the “charette method” or a community participation system with a team of students to carry out this activity from a discussion, education, to execution. Through this activity, it is hoped that the role of citizen participation will increase, the use of green open space as an educational medium can also be more optimal, including in protecting the environment and strengthening support in efforts to deal with climate change.
