  I started working in the construction industry in the 1970's as a painter and then as owner/operator of an applied finishes subcontracting company. In the mid-90's, I moved into property development and project management of small commercial space and after 2004 I purchased single family sites for design and construction of single family residences. Was also hired to project manage construction of high end residential projects. Most of this work was done either during hiatus from the practice of law or contemporaneous to the practice of law.   I do construction project management as called upon. I have been responsible for all phases of managing primarily residential projects, from design to permitting to contracting through occupancy. I have functioned as an Owner Representative and also as a Project Manager for others with a history of successful completions on time and within budget. At Schoen Family Winery, I pretty much do it all with the help of some other wine lovers. Choose varietals, execute contracts for fruit, follow harvest season, bring the fruit back and go from Crush to Bottling. Show less

  Now in my 14th year of winemaking. Mostly reds that are known for being vibrant, yet balanced, I produce in limited quantities. Getting any bigger would require me to stay up at night worrying about sales, marketing, State and Federal compliance, etc. Who needs that? (rhetorical question)

  Certified Facilitative Mediator. Also familiar with "shuttle" approach to mediation. Providing small claims mediation to King County Court system. I am able to provide dispute resolution services for individual and company or corporate entities to resolve internal or external conflicts that might involve interpersonal/personnel issues, contract issues, stalled negotiations, etc.
