I was required to provide client/supplier management skills, analyse risk, lead major procurement activity in multifunctional teams, negotiate contracts with multiple suppliers whilst flowing down customer requirements and meeting overall company targets to remain competitive. I used my IT knowledge and Procurement expertise in this area to assist other members of the Purchasing team to fulfil their supply chain roles, as well as take an active part in the negotiations and formulating contracts.Examples of tasks included: Novation and renegotiation of all IT service contracts and licence agreements for an international high street bank to HP, including major IBM mainframe installation.Negotiate purchase agreement, service contract and project manage the procurement processes, for a national role out of desktop technology, server infrastructure and networking capability to all schools in Northern Ireland.Renegotiate all current service contracts for substantial central government body, reducing cost and increasing effectiveness through tight service level enhancements.
