This extends to providing feasibility studies, design information packages, conformance of consultants designs, network interface designs and end to end process support. Provided technical expertise, customer management and design governance to external consultants for Elizabeth Quay and Perth City Link subdivision projects – pit and duct design.Provided significant technical and process input into the revisions and updates of the Underground Distribution Schemes (UDS) manual.Prepared and facilitated industry workshops in metro and the south west of WA to raise awareness of the critical aspects of the UDS manual and to provide clarity on role accountability in order to drive consistency and greater efficiency in the industry.Gained valuable exposure to senior management through acting as area manager on numerous occasions. With involvement in prominent projects like Fiona Stanley Hospital, BHP Tower and the Great Eastern Highway upgrade.Acquired experience implementing and then working within a design and construction alliance delivery model. Gained valuable exposure to 'kaizen' (lean) process improvement methodology and its benefits.Built strong relationships with external design consultants and further refined my skills in the design governance space which allowed me to play a significant part in driving down spend in this space. Taking on the responsibility for the delivery of the full portfolio of design and quotation for large customer funded connections in the north metro area (inc. the CBD). This extended to design review accountability and providing subject matter expert support and direction on challenging and complex projects.Key achievements included successfully integrating new desktop estimating process into the team and playing a pivotal role in introducing, developing and utilising external resource capability to deliver ‘boom’ time workloads.
