About me
Sushant is the Founder and CEO of Kalpā Impact. Kalpā Impact is an advisory for impact funders to accelerate sustainable development. We specialise in technology (e.g. TechforGood, DPI, Data, AI for Social Impact) and creative solutions (e.g. narrative for movement building). Our services span strategy, research, program design, portfolio support, storytelling, impact evaluation (M&E), and coalition building. Sushant was head of strategy & impact function and sustainable living investments at Omidyar Network India. Sushant has held multiple leadership roles across impact investing, strategy consulting and philanthropy, focusing on issues ranging across business excellence, impact management, responsible technology, and data. He joined Omidyar Network in September 2017 to define strategy, impact, and learning agendas. Sushant has also worked on the Responsible Tech Initiative, with the US-based venture of The Omidyar Group. He conceptualised Omidyar Network’s philanthropic funding in building a new data paradigm. He developed a portfolio comprising of top global intellectuals and rallied leading Universities and institutions for progress in the data economy, AI and data stewardship. Sushant was a Board member of Meridia, advisor to the Indian Urban Data Exchange (IUDX), member of the Aspen Council for Fair Data Future and has been a member of multiple WEF councils on responsible tech and data. He has also contributed as a tech columnist for Mint, India’s leading newspaper. Prior to joining Omidyar Network, Sushant was a principal at Accenture Strategy, based in London and later in Mumbai, where he led consumer goods, retail and telco strategy consulting projects. Sushant earned his MBA from the London Business School and a Bachelor of Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology (BHU), Varanasi.
