      I realized I needed to gain knowledge in the sales field. I will improve myself in that field. Selling the highest quality, most expensive motor oil and filters for motor vehicles in a market where, due to the poverty in the region of Southern Serbia, sunflower oil was poured into agriculture machines, was the challenge I was waiting for. I was able to "break" competitors’ products pricing databases, compare them in Excel with my company's offers, and present that kind of comparative analysis to clients. Right on target. The results were immediately visible. Demanding clients who wanted to do business exclusively with the central office presented a challenge on its own. After building partnerships and trust with those clients, I was able to do orders for their needs independently, without any intervention from their side. Show less

      Could you, Bojan, be the Mercedes-Benz Sales Director at our EuroStar dealership in Niš? Really challenging. I could. I want and I will! Sales took place by customers coming to the salon and choosing models, so that was the only sales model. Hmm. It has to be better, different. We will go out into the field and offer passenger and commercial vehicles to the clients. With that approach, will we possibly harm the brand itself? It's a Mercedes-Benz after all. We had to be wise. I took the databases of all economic entities in the country, which were still available to everyone at the time, and analyzed their publicly available financial reports. That's how I precisely determined who, when, and how much was ready to invest in new vehicles or buy them. The biggest compliment was not the fact that I was invited as a Sales Director with the shortest working life in Mercedes-Benz to present my successful approach to the board of directors of Mercedes-Benz in the region; it was actually the question asked several times by various clients: "And how did you know that we are preparing for renewal of our fleet at this very moment?"Epilogue - "In 2010, EuroStar's Sales Department, led by Bojan Mladenović, had one of the best results of Mercedes-Benz sales in the history of EuroStar, and the second-best in Serbia".
