  Co-own and operate a diversified, regenerative family farm that has been in the family since before 1879. We raise vegetables, herbs, laying chickens, and pastured pork using all natural, restorative methods. We also raise Boer goats. In season, we sell at local farmers' markets and deliver to customers at two locations. Also, operate a farm stay in the circa 1879 farmhouse that has been recognized as a Virginia Green property and awarded a 2016 Virginia Green Travel Leader Award.

  Past volunteer at local jail by providing monthly craft and Bible study program for incarcerated women. Currently work to keep jail library stocked with books.

  In 2012 successfully applied for and received $10,000 grant from the Danville Regional Foundation to create and print cookbook of healthy recipes for distribution to 2,000 clients and to equip the instructional kitchen with small appliances, cooking equipment, dishes, cutlery, and other items for cooking classes.

  Work with other planning team members to publicize and organize the Danville Area CROP Hunger Walk, sponsored by Church World Service (CWS). Responsible for generating press coverage and promoting the Walk through various media and social media outlets. The Walk raises funds to benefit CWS's hunger relief and other emergency programs around the world and is a major fundraiser for God's Storehouse, a food bank in Danville, VA.
