      Business Support Officer and social justice ambassador

      My current role as a business support officer means I am based in our North London District Office. I am working as a PA to our 3 district managers, providing diary and E Mail support. I book rooms for training sessions and meetings and prepare the facilities for bookings. I have to collate management information and data to send for recording and analyzing. I also deal with any enquiries that come through the business support mail box or by phone. This could be by staff, managers but also external partners I was working with the long term unemployed (3 year plus). My role involved solution finding, addressing barriers and helping to resolve them. I booked for customers to attend training programmes all to gain the end goal of finding employment. I was also working from a local probation office once a week running a job club for ex offenders. I am a social justice ambassador for my office promoting what social justice entails and how we can make sure no one is left behind such as mental health conditions, substance misuse, ex offenders etc. I make people aware of issues and barriers and how we can support a person with them,I have worked with people trying to get them back into work and provide support and training to overcome any barriers in order to gain employment.
