Activities and Societies: Completed a Semester Abroad in Prato, Italy. Completed two units - Italian language, and one unit - European Union: Consensus to Crisis. Experienced what it was like to study abroad in a foreign country, learning to live independently, meeting students from all over the world and learning about the history and cultures of Italy and other European countries. I was able to experience immersion into the everyday life of an Italian and much of the cultural and political aspects I observed were integrated into the units I was studying. Being in close proximity to other countries allowed me to travel beyond just Italy and expose myself to new societies and identities, while simultaneously being able to apply that experience and knowledge to topics of European identity discussed in all three units.
