  Description of rolePentex supply Primark, Kiabi, Suzi Shere, and Pimkie making quick fashion blouses, dresses, skirts, leggings, trousers, and sweat tops, both printed and plain. The company ran around 3 million garments a month. This company grew with Primark with over 18 years of production for them. I was responsible for all quality for garments produced in China, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Moldova, Romania and TunisiaKey responsibilities Control garment technical department, pattern making, marker making, pattern cutting and sample making section when in London, continually liaise with the designers on new ideas/trims seen in factories. Control the day to day issues with the samples coming that had repeated issues, discussed and got approval for the need for expat teams, interviewed and employed three expat quality managers in Moldova, Romania, and Sri Lanka. The role included ensuring that there was one uniform standard of quality production from different countries as often making of the same style occurred in two countries. Continually monitor that children’s wear is only made in specially approved units and that production, needle policies, labeling, fabric, and trims are all monitored to suit the numerous safety standards.   Employed to set up an ethically approved manufacturing plant in Enfidha Tunisia to make mainly for Primark. Set up the factory interviewing and training almost all staff from cutting, sample, sewing, work-study and despatch to a 600 people factory producing around 20 000 garments a week. As well as managed a small;er existing factory also making for Primark out of Sousse. The role included the full quality team looking after of garments and sourcing other factories to help when necessary. I completed my 1-year contract the factory Royal design was up to 600 staff and running with Primark goods. Show less
