  ADR Flanders is an umbrella organization of about sixty volunteer groups spread across Flanders (Belgium), all of which support social projects in Romania.As projectmanager I was responsible for the coordination and monitoring of social projects, both in Flanders and Romania. I also travelled to Romania several times to visit the projects of ADR-Flanders on site. In addition, I was responsible for providing training and organising activities for volunteers. Finally, I was responsible for both internal and external communication about the activities and projects of ADR-Flanders. I was for example responsible for the editing of the bimonthly magazine Buna. Show less

  The Flemish Youth Parliament organises every year a simulation of the real parliamentary work in the Flemish Parliament for young people between 17 and 27. The Flemish Youth Parliament gives young people of all bakcgrounds the opportunity to immerse themselves for a few days in a number of current society issues and introduces them to the political system of the country. As chairman I coordinated the work of a 9-person board team and the broader organizational group. I monitored the general progress of the project and kept an eye on the set objectives.   Project advisor ERDF

  ERDF, the European Regional Development Fund, is one of the European structural and investment funds. As a project advisor within the Flemish ERDF program I was responsible for all projects within the policy objective 'sustainable urban development'. My portfolio included beautiful urban development projects such as the renovated Wintercircus in Ghent, Belgium, and the Zuiderdokken park in Antwerp, Belgium.In addition, I was also the representative of Flanders (Belgium) in the URBACT monitoring committee. URBACT is a transnational European programme that supports and promotes networking between European cities.Finally, I was co-responsible for communications for ERDF and one of the driving forces behind ‘Europe in your neighbourhood’, a communication collaboration between 4 European funds (EAFRD, ESF, EMFF, ERDF) to make citizens aware that Europe is investing heavily in their region.   How can we sustainably realise the Oosterweel connection, a large infrastructure project in Antwerp, Belgium? How can we use this large infrastructure project as a flywheel to tackle a number of challenges in society? These are the questions I am working on at Lantis. Together with contractors and other partners, I set up projects to give sustainability in and around Oosterweel a boost.
