      Working with UK area leads to setup the Cancer Drugs Fund (CDF) and the Individual Funding Requests service for the South of England - go live date 1st April.Procurement of database (to meet the national specification) to support both the CDF and IFR functions with reporting facilities and management of admin processes.Work with UK leads to agree Standard Operating procedures for CDF and IFR processes along with working towards national alignment.Setup of panels to review applications, team development and support links all from scratch. Development of links with neighbouring Area teams to ensure clear understanding of new processes from 1st April 2013.Service launched successfully on 1st April with no delay to any patient's treatments.       Success of our CCGs depends on managing delivery of a range of commissioning functions. As part of the authorisation process CCGs were authorised fully or with conditions.Initial responsibilities/priorities involved working with CCG colleagues to discharge any conditions imposed during the authorisation process. Converting patient insights into commissioning intentions involves developing current systems and governance arrangements around CCG decision making processes to ensure relevant evidence can be collected and demonstrated to support final CCG authorisations.Further responsibilities involve: - - Championing and overseeing the assurance process of CCGs for NHS England.- Building collaborative working relationships to support the future development of CCGs.- Working with CCGs in developing and assuring winter pressure plans, A+E recovery plans, operational plans to name but a few.- Participation in the CCG assurance process providing support and information when and where required for 5 CCGs and Direct commissioning function of the Wessex Area Team.- Liaise with regional and National assurance colleagues to ensure alignment of plans and robust reporting mechanism are in place.- Act as advocate for the Wessex Area Team and deputise at events/meetings as and when required by Wessex area team colleagues.Role and function of post is still in development and the above list is inclusive but not exhaustive.
