Voices of Recovery has received an award for advocacy through the National Council for Behavioral Healthcare for helping to destigmatize mental illness. Developed the "Richmond Music History Tour" as a major fund raiser for the station. Assisted with the 10th anniversary WRIR fundraiser by creating a recipe for a beer that was brewed by Hardywood Park Craft Brewery and distributed across the station's listening range for additional public exposure.       Responsible for developing partnership agreements between the state and Employment Service Organizations, Centers for Independent Living and Workforce Investment Boards. Manage agency implementation of SSA "Ticket to Work” Program, as well as the Social Security Cost Reimbursement Program. Manage the Social Security Administration (SSA) Claim for Payment Program to ensure maximum reimbursement of funds to the Commonwealth of Virginia based on successful Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) for SSA beneficiaries working at Substantial Gainful Activity (SGA). Lead agency efforts to develop Employment Network (EN) partnerships and Partnership Plus agreements. Manage the Work Incentive Specialist Advocate program for DARS which is now seen as a national best practice model. Results:• Negotiated and implemented a sole source contract with Cornell University to provide web based training to 90 providers across the state.•Developed new partnership agreements with 23 organizations•Presented at national conferences for APSE, CSAVR,NABWIS, NCRE/RSA and NENA•Increased cost reimbursement billing through automated software from 1.8 to 7.0 million dollars in claims for the agency.Participated in the SSA WIPA Grant review to score 10 grant applications for SSA.Served on the ticket to Work program's Operations support work group and the National Employment Network Recruitment Initiative.Served as a Subject Matter Expert for SAMHSA and employment first grants.Serves on the National Employment Network Association Board of Directors.
