      Software Development Engineer Intern

During my software developer engineering internship at Amazon, I had the opportunity to work in the ATS tech team on the Amazon Relay product. Here are some key points highlighting my experiences:- Worked on the early access feature of the load board in Amazon Relay, which is one of the most complex features of the Tintin microservice. This involved analyzing the existing logic and making significant improvements. To achieve this, I separated the entire logic into a separate library, making it more modular and configurable. Previously, it was dependent on a few attributes, but with the library, it could be configured based on many attributes, opening up possibilities for future use cases. This involved gathering requirements, analyzing the codebase, designing the Low-Level Design (LLD), and implementing changes in the code. I thoroughly tested the solutions, added proper checks and monitoring, and ensured the system became fault-tolerant and robust. Additionally, this change eliminated code hacks and drastically reduced the size of the configuration.- Collaborated with different teams and stakeholders to ensure smooth coordination and alignment. This included working closely with QAs to address their concerns and incorporate their feedback into the changes. All the changes I made were successfully pushed into production, contributing to the overall improvement of the product.- Handled various ad hoc tasks that arose during the internship, showcasing adaptability and problem-solving skills. These tasks required me to dive into different areas of the codebase, understand the requirements, propose solutions, and implement them effectively.Overall, my internship experience at Amazon as a software developer engineering intern in the ATS tech team exposed me to complex feature development, bug fixing, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and the responsibility of delivering robust and high-quality solutions.
