  Along with Danny MD Willcocks I Set up the Teacher Training Department (CELTA) then oversaw itsexpansion from a single course of 7 trainees to an operation with three centres (Bangkok, Chiang Mai and Phuket) running approximately 20 courses per year. Still a great place to do the course!

  Day-to-day management of a stand-out Teacher Training department that delivers back-to-back, year round CELTA courses and an extensive DELTA programme of the highest quality. The centre also hosts two Distance DELTA Orientation Courses per year and a number other shorter teacher training courses. As teacher trainer, I worked alongside some fantastic teacher trainers as Main and Assistant Course Tutor on full and part-time CELTA courses. I learned so much - and had so much fun!

  Business Delivery RoleI lead the strategic and business direction of the EU South-Eastern cluster for teaching as well as the Wider Europe teaching centres in Ukraine and Georgia. I lead and manage the Teaching Centre team in Romania. I led the development and delivery of the commercial Teaching portfolio across Ukraine and Georgia. Responsible for meeting agreed financial, impact and quality targets in accordance with country and regional priorities and plans. Acted as legal director of the British Council’s Extra-Curricular Institution in Ukraine. Managed the Sofia Teaching Centre to agreed business performance targets and quality standards - I oversaw a period of fantastic growth and benefited from working alongside some great professionals from across the office. My focus was primarily upon the promotion and development of new business through partnership and capacity building, and on making a contribution to the leadership of the dynamic Bulgaria directorate.
