  After attending Camp Tamakwa as a camper for 10 summers, I was hired as a junior and then senior counselor. For the past three summers, I had the opportunity to mentor, motivate and lead female campers between the ages of 11 and 12 instilling in them a sense of adventure, creativity and resiliency.

  Lucian Matis is a luxury women’s wear boutique. This internship combined my passion for entrepreneurship and fashion, as it is a small company and I was able to work in various capacities of the enterprise. Prior to entering this position, I wanted to gain first-hand experience in the fashion industry, by which I have been captivated since childhood. Working in the sales department, I improved operating efficiency by creating a system to track garment rentals. On other days, I contributed to the production of the dresses, where I designed and sewed appliqués. From assisting in the operations and creative facets, I gained an appreciation for the hard work that goes into the creation of beautiful clothing and personal expression. Show less

  Design Intern

  For this lifestyle apparel company, I researched trends in North American and Asian markets and presented my reports to senior designers. My findings were used as inspiration for the Fall 2019 men’s and women’s collections. Collaborating with the design director, I merchandised the colour story for the Fall 2019 collections. I had the opportunity to work alongside the senior men's wear designer where I researched and designed a font that will be used on the 2019 Canada day sweatshirt.
