  I did my work-integrated learning at DEA, I worked on Automatic Weather Stations and use of satellite data to understand upwelling on the west coast of South Africa. I am also involved in a lot of community outreach within the department.I completed my theses on "Seasonal Variation of Mixed Layer Depth in the Southern Benguela" which I did at the DEA supervised by Mr. Gulekana in partnership with Dr. Halo from CPUT which was a prerequisite for obtaining my Bachelor's Degree in Oceanography.
