      Performed bridge design, foundation design and pile design. Performed hydraulic and hydrologic analysis to determine culvert sizing. Developed stability calculations of a steel building that was being relocated. Assisted in field surveys, inspected concrete placement for a building foundation, collected concrete samples and tested for compressive strength. Became familiar with ASSHTO, AISC Steel Manual, and BOCA Building Codes.

I manage, oversee and direct all design related projects including both highway and structures in the Design Division. I certify and/or approve final design plans for construction.Responsible for the management of 26 employees, including 11 project managers engaged in developing design plans, specifications and estimates for advertisement to bid for construction. As a certified District Negotiator, I negotiate engineering agreements in the millions of dollars with consulting engineering firms to perform designs for the department.As a department Certified Plan Reviewer, I review highway, bridge and all associated Also plans for quality acceptance pertaining to standards and policies.Acted in the capacity of the Assistant District Executive for Design, the District Right-of-Way Administrator, and the Design Services Engineer on an as needed basis.Coordinate project funding and programming; facilitate interagency coordination; development of project scopes of work; and technical advisory to department staff and peers.
