  Was a lead teacher in 8th-grade social studies at the middle school for one of the Philadelphia area's most diverse school districts. As part of position, wrote and edited lesson materials and assessments. Similarly, conducted research on pedagogy for my subject area and maintained correspondence with parents and students on the latter’s progress in the course. Was the head librarian for a 7-8 middle school serving over 700 students in one of the Philadelphia area's most diverse school districts. Primary responsibilities included managing the school's book collection, overseeing library budget, and serving as the administrator for electronic databases and services (e.g., OverDrive). In addition, designed instruction, for both students and faculty, on research skills and manageed the building's supply of computers and other instructional technology.
