  As a Chartered Occupational Health & Safety Practitioner I provide a range of support, advice and guidance to Clients in relation to Health and Safety practices and safe systems of work, within a wide scope of industries and environments, projects and contractors including:-a) Responding promptly in investigating any accidents or “near misses” involving Client employees/contractors whilst engaged in operations on behalf of the Client;b) Prepare and present reports on findings of any investigations conducted;c) Insuring that Client employees/contractors comply with all statutory and legal requirements involving safe working procedures. This will include (without limitation): 1. compliance of the Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations (RIDDOR) as applicable to Northern Ireland; 2. compliance with the Health and Safety at Work (Northern Ireland) Order 1978; 3. compliance with the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2000; and 4. compliance with specific Health and Safety Approved Code Of Practice legislation , as applicable the Client and to Northern Ireland.d) Provide advice and guidance on any legal issues that may arise in relation to Health and Safety Practices and legal issues;e) Examine and review Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work provided by Client employees/contractors prior to commencing operations or when there are fundamental changes to operations;f) Carry out assessments of Client /contractor personnel to insure that operations comply with the Risks Assessments and Safe of Systems of Work for each activity, including the wearing of appropriate Personal Protection Equipment (PPE);g) To assist the Client in formulating policies and procedures to ensure it complies with the regulations and with other related aspects of Health and Safety.
