      Dec 2021 - Jul 2022
      Data Science Intern

At BOSCH, I worked on an end-to-end systems project to make car air-conditioning filters smart. I developed machine learning models for the application in Python’s Scikit-Learn, conducted lab experiments as our training data, and validated the models on car filters deployed in Singapore, Japan, Korea and Malaysia.

    • Singapore Management University

      Feb 2023 - Jun 2023

      • Co-authored a research publication on peer-helping behaviour of students with Associate Professors Manoj Thulasidas and Kyong Jin Shim, strongly accepted at IEEE TALE 2023• Conducted Social Network Analysis for a research project to investigate variations in peer-helping behaviour and how it impacts academic performance• Created and modelled the peer-helping behaviour of students in the class as a weighted directed social network• Identified a student’s social behaviour in terms of their in-degree and out-degree centralities, and peer-helping cliques using modularity-maximising algorithms, and relationships with their final performance Show less

      • Research Assistant - Social Network Analysis

        Apr 2023 - Jun 2023
      • Research Assistant - Natural Language Processing

        Feb 2023 - Apr 2023
    • Continental

      May 2023 - Aug 2023
      Web Full Stack Developer

      • Developed a driver trip logging web application used in a project to enhance GoAhead Singapore’s bus driver safety in Angular, Springboot and PostgreSQL• Utilised Angular internationalisation in English and Chinese, as bus drivers (main users) may be Chinese educated • Tested the application frontend using Karma Jasmine and backend using J-Unit• Tested application external APIs in isolation and in traffic simulations using Apache J-Meter to validate that the trip-logging application is able to handle the expected load on deployment• Utilised Docker and Jenkins for continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) of the trip-logging application Show less

    • Singapore Management University

      Aug 2023 - Apr 2024
Research Assistant - Text to Speech Synthesis

      • Developed a Singaporean-sounding Text-to-Speech model by finetuning all weights of Microsoft's SpeechT5model in PyTorch• Processed IMDA National Speech Corpus and stored dataset files in Hugging Face Hub• Containerised working directory using Docker and trained model using GPUs on AWS Elastic Compute Cloud

    • Ellipsis SMU Computing & Information Systems Society

      Dec 2023 - now
      Technology Director

      • Lead a group of executives to serve the SCIS Student body in the ways listed below, for the year 2024. 1. Organise algorithmic coding competitions for Singapore Management University 2. Conduct workshops for the SCIS student body to better prepare for challenging modules

    • A*STAR - Agency for Science, Technology and Research

      May 2024 - now
Research Intern - Deep Reinforcement Learning, Quantum Control

Quantum Systems are susceptible to environmental noise, making their evolutions unpredictable. During this summer at A*STAR, I will research and experiment with Reinforcement Learning (RL) approaches to develop optimal control strategies, aiming to enhance predictability and stability of quantum operations.
