  Work for the Around the NHL Project at NeuLion, Inc. We create short highlight packages of NHL games that play that night and send them to the arenas so fans attending games get the latest updates of all the action in the NHL. I was first a Researcher and now work in the Graphics department.As a Highlight Editor, I:•Bring in online live broadcast stream of the assigned games into Final Cut Pro and make sure the stream works.•Isolate players during warmups to help create highlight package if it involves a certain player•Edit games into several short highlight packages showing recent goals and saves as it happens.•Export it to the audio station so packages can be voiced.•Take in the final record of all highlights of the night and catalog it.In the Graphics Department, I:•Make scoreboards for each game in Photoshop which gets added to the final version of a game’s highlight• Format slates that specify what games and the total run-time of all the highlight packages so the Game Operations Managers in each arena know how to fit them into the intermissions.• Work on slates and scoreboards in a fast-pace environment where new packages are released every few minutes when goals are scored.What A Researcher Did:• Compile a run-down of the games that would play that night and provide stats on specific trends and players• Give the Highlight Producer a time log of goals and saves which aids in making a highlight package Show less
