This Representative’s commitment to EWI is no surprise when one considers her strong sense of community and active involvement in non profits. Before becoming the Office Manager for her current firm, she put her LSU Bachelor’s Degree to work at Habitat for Humanity. She is active in the Alumni Association for Archbishop Hannan High School, working to keep the association vital since Hurricane Katrina. She has translated her love of helping others by recently raising in excess of $8,000 for the NO/AIDS Task Force!Phrases used to describe her go something like:She has gone above and beyond. She has stepped up.She is a quiet warrior. She is a champion of whatever she undertakes.A true up and coming leader of our organization. In the two short years that this lady has been in our midst, she has done the work at least two people in all of her undertakings! While excelling at her current board position she showed off her self-starter skills by concurrently becoming:Co-treasurer in training,Co-courtesy & hospitality, in producing name tags,Co-Sgt at Arms, assisting with RSVP’s when called upon,Co-Roster, where she assisted in reformatting,Co-Secretary, after Lena married and moved away,And last but not least, Assistant to the President! As you can tell, volunteerism is her middle name and her ‘gift of helps’ served as the proverbial glue for our chapter in 2010-2011. Please join me in putting your hands together for your FUNDRAISER IN CHIEF, the author of our exceedingly creative New Orleans Getaway RAFFLE, and your host to EWI’s smashing reality show, the NorthShore Garage Sale Girls! Congratulations, Miss Candice Herrington of GJTBS!" Show less
