      Psychodrama is a group psychotherapy therapy using experiential or 'active' techniques. It is in use with serious violent and sexual offenders in the therapeutic prison of HMP Grendon Underwood.

      Mark was the first person in the UK to gain the Certificate level qualification. Sociodrama applies the 'active' techniques of Psychodrama psychotherapy, but with a focus on wider group issues rather than individual psychotherapy

      This work focussed on therapeutically-informed work with incarcerated serious violent offenders, using experiential methods of applied theatre/drama, and going beyond a basic cognitive-behavioural model.

      Mark's research project focussed on the composition of domestic abuse perpetrator groups in the UK, providing support for existing typologies drawn from research in the United States and suggesting three basic 'types' of convicted perpetrator.

      Geese Theatre use applied drama and theatre for education and rehabilitation. Dr Farrall worked with all types of offender groups in prison and probation. In 1994 he led the development of Geese input to domestic violence programmes, and later gained a research PhD focussing on therapeutically-informed work with violent offenders.
