      I served as a volunteer with Rostro de Cristo, a Catholic organization of young college graduates living in intentional Christian community in Durán, Ecuador. Through this organization, I was able to build community with local neighborhood families and nonprofit organizations, participate actively in the life of the local parish, and host groups of high school and college students for week-long retreat experiences meeting these individuals and organizations.

      I collaborated with a team of 16 resident assistants to plan programs for a residential community of 700 undergraduate students. We planned and enacted 12 academic, social, faculty, and diversity program, enforced university policies and ensured the safety of the community through overnight on-call rotations, and provided basic counseling and conflict mediation for a floor of 50 diverse undergraduate students. In this position, I supported a Technology Consultant with desktop support services for 50 users in human resources, academic support services for athletes, and members of the university religious community. We interacted with users to diagnose and resolve various computer issues, including network connectivity, application support, hardware maintenance and upgrades, and virus removal.

These students from diverse backgrounds have a demonstrated interest and high achievement in mathematics, science, and engineering, participating in this on-campus summer experience programs through the Office of Engineering Outreach Programs (OEOP) at MIT.

      I was responsible for the management and leadership of a department of eight mathematics education professionals serving over 600 students in grades 7-12. My role included curriculum design and management, instructional observation and feedback, student placement, parent communication, and fostering professional development and collaboration both within the department and on the school's Academic Council. Mathematics teacher for five sections of college preparatory mathematics. Courses taught include Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Precalculus, Statistics, and Calculus courses of 10 to 27 students each at the college preparatory, accelerated, honors, and Advanced Placement (AP) levels. Responsible for curriculum design, instructional planning, implementation, and student assessment. Additionally, I coached and grew the Math Team program to 65 students.

In addition to my role as a teacher, I also serve as the advisor for the Figure Skating Club and a mentor for new teachers.

      I collaborated with a team of university students and industry professionals to implement a weekend STEM experiences for students in grades 7-12. In my role, I implemented a seminar alongside another instructor and two teaching assistants to support leadership skills, identity development, and college admissions counseling for current 11th grade students. I am an instructor for the MIT Online Science, Technology, and Engineering Community (MOSTEC), a program for high-achieving rising high school seniors with a demonstrated interest in STEM. As a part of this six-month, remote program, I implemented a six-week online Calculus I course, where students completed a combination of remote learning activities using a flipped classroom model and met to experience problem solving activities and discuss their learning.
