Participate in the training for the qualitative analysis of the data collected in Kisangani and then Coordinate the preliminary analysis through the encoding of the data in Bukavu. Participate in the preparation of the preliminary and final report of the study. Participate in the dissemination of preliminary and final results to the Democratic Republic of Congo Government and the main donors or partners in Kinshasa.   Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child and Adolescent Health Service Delivery in Conflict-Affected Settings: Democratic Republic of Congo Case StudyComprendre la mise en œuvre des interventions en matière de la santé reproductive, maternelle, néonatale, infantile, adolescente et de nutrition (RMNCAH / N) en RDC (Nord-Kivu et Sud-Kivu)The aims of this case study are to examine how reproductive, maternal, newborn, child and adolescent health and nutrition (RMNCAH+N) services have been delivered and identify factors influencing the design, implementation and effectiveness of these services in conflict the Democratic of Congo (DRC), particularly North Kivu and South Kivu.The gravity of the effects of conflict on women’s and children’s health urgently necessitates a better understanding of the challenges and opportunities for more effectively providing quality services along the continuum of care for conflict-affected populations. This is one of 10 case studies that a consortium of academic institutions are conducting to examine RMNCAH+N service coverage and implementation strategies in conflict-affected settings . Countries selected for case studies include: Afghanistan, Colombia, DRC, Mali, Nigeria, Pakistan, Somalia, South Sudan, Syria, and Yemen. The feasibility of research was a key factor in case study country selection; feasibility was characterized by security, access, data availability, and local research partnerships. Countries were selected to reflect a mix of geographic region, income level, duration and type of conflict, levels and type of population displacement, and level of previous research conducted. JHSPH was selected to lead case studies in the Democratic Republic of Congo, South Sudan, and Yemen. Show less

  As a Qualitative Analyst my duty and responsibilities: provide technical support to the Kavle Consulting, LLC team for the adaptation of Baby Friendly Community Initiative (BFCI) – course adapted from Kenya to Madagascar by ADRA international to protect, promote and support breastfeeding, complementary feeding and maternal nutrition. With multiple tasks including documentary review, qualitative survey for the evaluation of the health system, translation of interviews survey from English to French, conducting interviews, transcription of audio recorded, construction of the code book, qualitative analysis with the DEDOOSE application, sharing the analyze result to adapt BFCI in Madagascar context for the strengthening of the health system community based. Provide training of trainers on BFCI among the Kavle Consulting team for the Virtual training conducting both with the ADRA team. Work carried out virtually (on line) with the Kavle Consulting team based in Washington, Kenya, DRC and the ADRA team based in Madagascar. Now I remain a contributor researcher in Kavle Consulting, LLC. We had also played the role of trainer for the training of trainers to strengthening capacity building of health workers for this project Show less
