The object of… Show more Graduation Work: Application of the Technique of Parameters Identification to an Aircraft aimed to Participated in SAE Brasil Aerodesign Competition. Abstract: This work aims to apply the techniques of longitudinal parameters identification to an aircraft to participate in the SAE Brazil Aerodesign Competition, addressing the 4MV methodology (Maneuver, Measure, Model, Method and Validation), to develop a model capable to describe the aircraft’s behavior during its mission. The object of study was the FRANK aircraft, developed by ETEP Flying team in 2017. Initially, it was studied the dimensioning of elevator control input for multistep 3-2-1-1 and doublet maneuvers. Aircraft instrumentation for in-flight measurement was also discussed in this paper. The longitudinal model used consists of the linearization of the equations of motion of na aircraft developed through Newton’s Second Law. The Method used consists of the maximum likelihood theory.
