In my role at Tata Steel, I handled multiple responsibilities to ensure smooth operations and safety in the steel manufacturing process. For daily management, I performed routine inspections and preventive maintenance on critical electrical equipment like PLCs and drives, which reduced equipment breakdowns by 20%. I was also responsible for measuring and maintaining proper temperatures during steel production, ensuring consistency for 4,420 tons of steel per shift. In safety management, I prepared Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for various tasks and issued 'Work Permits' to ensure jobs were carried out safely. I educated team members on safety protocols, hazardous areas, and ways to mitigate risks, creating a safer working environment. For quality management, I implemented 12 Kaizen initiatives annually, focusing on small but impactful improvements in safety and operational efficiency. I also maintained shift logs and shared updates with my supervisors. In HR management, I managed manpower during my shifts, ensuring the right people were assigned to the right tasks. I trained team members before starting work, making sure everyone was well-prepared and aligned.Additionally, I collaborated with the maintenance team to prioritize and schedule tasks, inspecting and maintaining 118 motors and installing new electrical systems when needed. Troubleshooting and repairing electrical issues were key parts of my role, and I always focused on minimizing downtime while maintaining safety and quality standards. These responsibilities gave me a strong foundation in managing people, processes, and technical tasks, all while ensuring operational excellence in a demanding environment." Summer intern - supply chain

During my summer internship at Trident Group, I worked as a Supply Chain Intern in the procurement department of the towel manufacturing division. My primary goal was to optimize the procurement process and streamline vendor management using SAP S/4 HANA.One of my major tasks was verifying the MSME status of 544 out of 1,395 vendors. For this, I used XK03 to display vendor master data and ensure its accuracy. I also worked extensively with ME21N to create Purchase Orders, ME22N to modify them as needed, and ME23N to track their status. To compare RFQs (Request for Quotations) and analyze supplier offers, I utilized ME41 and ME49, which allowed me to identify cost-effective suppliers and improve procurement decisions.Another critical part of my role involved analyzing material usage data. I used MB51 to review material documents and track discrepancies between expected and actual trim usage. By leveraging MIGO, I verified goods movement for timely receipts and ensured accurate inventory updates.Additionally, I conducted thorough follow-ups with 544 suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials, mitigating any risks of production delays. Using MMBE, I monitored stock levels and helped align procurement with real-time inventory needs.By the end of my internship, I had successfully improved vendor data accuracy, streamlined the procurement process, and gained hands-on expertise with key SAP T-codes. This experience deepened my understanding of procurement workflows and reinforced my ability to optimize supply chain operations through technology." Show less

These skills empower individuals to respond confidently and effectively during emergencies, potentially saving lives and reducing the impact of injuries. My training has equipped me to handle critical situations such as stabilizing fractures, controlling bleeding, and performing Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) during cardiac emergencies. These actions can mean the difference between life and death, especially in the critical minutes before professional medical help arrives.I’ve also had the opportunity to use these skills in real-world scenarios, emphasizing the importance of quick thinking and readiness. Beyond practicing these skills myself, I advocate for broader awareness and training, as I believe everyone should be equipped to act during emergencies.First Aid and CPR are not just about techniques; they are about fostering compassion, preparedness, and responsibility. Together, we can build a community where more lives are saved through knowledge and action. Show less
