The main objective of the project is to deploy various Messaging and Storage Service platform, Ochiltree eration Support System (OSS) & Billing, Security System and Enterprise Management System in Data Centers in four cities, over the National Internet Backbone.It includes modules like Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Payment Management System (PMS) & CLARITY, Identity and Access Management (IAM), Service Manager(SM), Directory Enquiry (DQ), SAP-FI and SAP-BI.Solution Environment :The project provides an EIP environment that integrates with Web Sphere Portal, Post-paid Billing (Kenan FX), Pre-paid Billing (OBRM), Mediation (CSG Data Mediation),Order / Inventory Management System (Metasolv), Helpdesk (Remedy), Voucher (TCS), Commission (TCS), Messaging (Openwave), Business Intelligence (SAP BW) applications to provide support of data network services.Key tasks performed:-Creation of PL/SQL, UNIX shell scripting for process automation.-Regular database archival and retrieval of backup data as and when required.-Supporting day to day Operations & Maintenance (O&M) activities.-Extracting ad-hoc reports depending on client requirement-Co-ordination with team from HCL & BSNL for connectivity.-Imparting training of modules to clients -Being at on-site, one of the major responsibility was to interact with the clients and solve their queries on a daily basis Show less

  As part of my MBA program, I underwent 8 weeks of internship in the "Investment & New Ventures" department of Tata Steel. The team was an integral part of the Corporate Finance division in Tata Steel and all the major decisions regarding acquisitions and mergers of companies/assets were taken by the department. During my tenure in Tata Steel, the team was working on the acquisition proposal of coal and iron-ore mines (asset level) in Canada and Australia. I was reporting to the Director of the department and was working on the feasibility analysis (projection of future demand-supply trend using qualitative and quantitative techniques) of the said acquisition.Key tasks performed during the internship period-- Qualitative analysis of global demand-supply dynamics of iron ore with key emphasis on China and Australia (Key demand drivers- Falling Chinese GDP, Lack of infrastructure activity in China, Declining global Steel production; Key supply drivers- Increase in mining activity in Australia's Philbara region in Western Australia) - Prepared a statistical model to forecast the price of iron ore for the next two years using forecasting tools and multivariate regression analysis. The inputs from the projection were used by the company in their merger & acquisition plan of iron ore mines in Canada.
