  Orientation Leader

  As an Orientation Leader, I serve as a student role model and assist in the transition of the first-year and transfer students into the Lehigh community. As an Orientation Leader, I lead a small group of 20 first-year students throughout Orientation. In this role, I facilitate conversations on transition issues, role model appropriate academic and social behaviors to incoming students, and communicate with parents and family members of new students. This past semester, I went through an extensive application process to further my participation with the Office of First Year Experience at Lehigh University, and was selected to become a Returning Orientation Leader this upcoming fall. So far, through this new role, I have had the opportunity to participate in the interview and selection process of students interested in the Orientation Program. Furthermore, I have served as a role model and outlet for now both first-year students, and other current students becoming Orientation Leaders for the first time. I have accomplished all of this the in the Spring of 2016, and I look forward to continuing my role this upcoming fall. Show less

  As a Standards Representative, I attend biweekly student conduct meetings as a representative for my pledge class. The Standards Committee of Alpha Omicron Pi is responsible for monitoring the chapter and individual members for compliance with the goals and policies set forth. As a member of Alpha Omicron Pi's Standard Committee, I partake in the implementation and regulation of national, as well as chapter policies. As Vice President of Academics for the Lambda Upsilon Chapter of Alpha Omicron Pi, it is my responsibility to maintain high academic performance of all members through implementing academic monitoring, administering study hours, providing outlets for assistance in academic improvements, and motivating the members of the house to academically perform to the best of her abilities.
