I also used this time to interview experts and conduct research on American foreign poicy with specific attention paid to the handling of subnational groups, assymetric warfare and counterterrorism measures. While in Seattle, I also took courseson First Amendment Law, Journalism and public speaking.

      I am one of the FCA representative at ESMA Investment Management Standing Committee, negotiating FCA position on UCITS, AIFMD and other fund management related issues such as EuVECA and ELTIFs. My work within this space has for example given me the opportunity to gain good knowledge of third country jurisdictions through participation in the AIFMD third country passport work. I also lead and co-lead various work streams for the FCA at IOSCO level, handling negotiating positions for the UK and am the FCA policy lead at FSB and ESRB JEGS for shadow banking and systemic risk considerations. Finally, I've had the great opportunity of contributing to the IMF Financial Sector Assessment Program of the UK, taking the policy lead for the asset management part of the assessment, setting out the UK framework, participating in meetings with the assessor and answering questions she had. Beyond the European and International work, my work also include advising HMT on technical issues as and when required, drafting policy proposals and consultations at domestic level, keeping abreast of developments within asset management and being one of the policy experts on the COLL and FUND Sourcebooks.       I oversee most of IOSCO's work on sustainable finance at Secretariat level, in particular the work relating to corporate disclosures, engagement with the ISSB, assurance and our current work on carbon markets. I have also led our work on ESG Ratings and Data Products Providers. As part of this role, I regularly engage with the ISSB, G20 Sustainable Finance Working Group, various UN groups, and the FSB amongst others. I also am the Secretariat member for IOSCO's Committee on Corporate Accounting and Auditing and for the Monitoring Board of the IFRS Foundation. Previously, I led IOSCO's work on market fragmentation - notably in the derivatives space - on behalf of the Secretariat and took an active role in some of IOSCO's financial stability work with regards to money market funds and margin practices in collaboration with other standard setting bodies, namely the FSB and CPMI. Beyond that, I participated in IOSCO's priorities on the rise of passive investing as well as on the use of AI/ML by market intermediaries and asset managers and represented IOSCO on the FSB’s Financial Innovation Network.
