This is position was funded by the state legislature, and reported to the governor-appointed Special Assistant for Program Review in the Executive Office of DTSC. The Permitting Enhancement Work Plan is part of the DTSC reform effort to strengthen the hazardous waste permitting program to be more protective and timely, while enhancing enforcement and using more transparent standards and consistent procedures. Goals include decreasing processing time for permit applications/ permits; updating permitting standards; improving enforceability of permits; and increasing transparency. Show less
