  I undertook a project on the maintenance of The Pilatus PC-12 private aircraft. The section I was involved in was storeroom management, where my responsibilities were to facilitate aircraft maintenance principles as well as to ensure that aircraft spare parts are kept under optimal conditions in the storeroom. My tasks included removal, repair/service, and installation of aircraft cabin components such as seats, windows and floor panels.

  I was involved with the installation, commissioning, and testing of Honeywell Consolidated Building Management Systems (CBMS) around Medupi power station. CBMS includes CCTV cameras, Fire Detection Systems (FDS), and Access Control Systems (ACS). In addition to the responsibilities mentioned above, I was also responsible for fault identification and correction for all FDS, ACS, and CCTV camera equipment. In the end, I provided feedback on how Honeywell can improve and optimize their processes of installation, commissioning and testing of the CBMS equipment. Show less

  I undertook a project whose main focus was on the certification of Fire Detection Systems (FDS) and Access Control Systems (ACS) components installed in the battery rooms and the coal bunkers in Kusile Power Station. The battery rooms and coal bunkers are classified as hazardous areas due to the activities that occur in these rooms, hence the need to certify all the components installed as EX-rated and compile a Certificate of Compliance (COC) for these components.

  Industrial Engineering Design Tutor

  As part of the School curriculum, I was responsible for assisting 3rd year Industrial Engineering students complete their full-year Design projects in the school of Mechanical, Industrial and Aeronautical (MIA) Engineering. I was also responsible for marking their weekly tutorials submissions as well as providing feedback on their overall progress in their projects within the Design course.
