https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bcnIC1OH44A&t=3743sDigital Inclusion to Enhance Climate ResilienceTechnology has historically revolutionized agriculture. This explains the global optimism that surrounds digital innovations and the transformations possible in agricultural productivity, efficiency, and equity – as well as tackling the pressing challenge of youth withdrawal from agriculture. However, to get there, technological innovations need to deliver much more than timely tracking of climate challenges and crises and extending the range and depth of data available. The resilience of marginalized smallholders to climate (and multiple other challenges) that affect youth withdrawal from agriculture are complex and span multiple dimensions of inequality. Many of these factors are rooted in history yet shape contemporary challenges in achieving more inclusive food systems and equitable supply and value chains. In this session we examine these challenges, and look to the potential for new digital technologies to become game-changers in A4RD, and helping to overcome key barriers to more inclusive outcomes.Water Pavilion at COP26At COP26 UK in Glasgow, the Water Pavilion is mobilizing the water community and partners in the global climate action community to debut the first-ever Water & Climate Pavilion at the COP. Insodoing, we hope to elevate our ideas and solutions to the highest possible levels through a unified voice on the role of water in meeting the goals of the Paris Agreement and support ambitious and science-based global climate action.
