      Sept 2022 - Nov 2024
      Business Information Manager

I research agriculture, commodities, food & beverage, and international trade topics for internal clients and oversee the management of external business and market research reports. In line with the latest fashion, I'm currently involved in several artificial intelligence (AI) initiatives.Specifically I’m focused in four main areas at the moment:First, I'm currently helping lead the implementation of a cutting-edge, AI-powered KM and content discovery platform, which increasingly houses our business and market reports. My small team and I were just nominated for a 2024 Breakthrough Award for our efforts, company-wide recognition that celebrates transformational projects that will help shape our future.Second, I have also positioned myself as the go-to resource for responsibly leveraging generative AI (GenAI) technologies within my immediate InfoCenter team and the other Cargill groups with which I regularly collaborate. I regularly write internal articles on GenAI, and have provided several internal trainings. Third, I'm part of a cross-functional group tasked with developing and executing a broader AI strategy for the R&D organization. I'm responsible for the GenAI aspect of this strategy; I'm leading a GenAI/RAG-powered knowledge discovery proof-of-concept (PoC) and co-leading a GenAI-powered ideation PoC. I'm also involved with optimizing our data to support AI use cases, including the development of knowledge graph and related technology.Fourth and finally (for now), I’m serving as ontologist and knowledge graph manager for one of our enterprises as well as the R&D function (to support our AI use cases). Wearing this particular hat, I hope to demonstrate the power of KGs + LLMs to transform KM. We always lament, “if only Cargill knew what Cargill knows.” I want to solve that problem. I want to help Cargill know what Cargill knows. Show less
