      Assistant Marketing Manager

      Recruited to create a marketing function I introduced marketing procedures and embedded continuous improvement and best practice to the sales division. I also developed a strategic marketing process using targeted market research of specific areas and identifying potential customer groups through profiling, surveys and focus groups. This led to the first non-purchase of a site that was otherwise financially viable.

      In this role I managed the search for land, its appraisal, design and contract negotiation for new developments across greater London. Working with overall project budgets in excess of £20 million I had responsibility for forming a project team consisting of architects, surveyors, planners, builders, sales agents and lawyers to develop an offer for up to 10 sites at a time and if successful progressing to council planning approval stage. Recruited for a maternity cover, I managed the marketing team including a four direct reports and all marketing activity. During this time we marketed 12 developments with a budget of £1m including the brochures, websites, advertising, show homes and sales launch. I was also fortunate to be given carte blanche to modernise the approach to marketing resulting in a faster turnaround for sales than previously.
