  During my pre-professional internship, I was actively involved in various activities related to mineral processing, gaining hands-on experience in metallurgical testing and sample preparation. I began with the mechanical preparation of mineral samples, which included crushing, grinding, pulverization, and screening, followed by particle size analysis to assess size distribution. Additionally, I conducted grindability and Work Index tests to determine the energy requirements for comminution.In terms of concentration techniques, I carried out centrifugal gravity concentration tests using the ICON - I 150 concentrator and shaking table, aiming to recover free coarse gold particles from oxidized gold ores. Furthermore, I performed Fire Assay tests to determine gold and silver grades in mineral samples.Regarding extraction processes, I conducted bottle roll and agitated tank leaching tests on oxidized and sulfide gold ores to evaluate reagent consumption and metal recovery over different time intervals. In parallel, I participated in flotation tests of polymetallic and copper sulfide ores at both laboratory and pilot scale, with a strong focus on reagent dosing.Additionally, I worked on the preparation of cyanide solutions with varying sodium cyanide concentrations and performed cyanide degradation tests on free cyanide present in process solutions, employing titration techniques for quantification. These activities allowed me to enhance my knowledge of metallurgical processes and develop analytical skills in mineral treatment. Show less
