  I am an experienced professional that cares about safety. Although able to focus and do my work, I truly enjoy working with others. I am experienced with injury reporting and investigation. I functioned as the primary advisor for two investigation boards involving accidental death and documented a third investigation. I can go where the work is taking place and work in settings that can be uncomfortable like tunnels, mines and working at heights. I am physically fit, able to stand or sit for long periods and can travel regularly. When problem-solving, I use a deliberate decision making process to solve problems, this aids with design and applying processes and procedures that help protect workers. I can use technology such as complex testing equipment. I'm comfortable with the Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. I have some experience with Access and SharePoint. I am at ease using Internet Explorer. I'm able to communicate safety instructions and concerns to employees and managers and able to work with technicians to collect and test samples in the workplace. I am detail oriented. This helps to understand and follow safety standards and complex government regulations. Although certification is voluntary, many employers encourage it. I am a Certified Safety Professional (CSP).
