      Analyst

During my 5-month internship at the PDAM Tirtanadi Laboratory, I was directly involved in water quality testing activities to ensure clean water standards for the public. My main responsibilities included conducting chemical parameter analysis of raw water, such as sulfate, chloride, free chlorine, and cyanide content.I also analyzed the quality of consumer water and Wash Out (WO) water by testing fluoride, TDS (Total Dissolved Solids), electrical conductivity (DHL), and turbidity using a Turbidimeter. In addition, I performed testing for ammonia, nitrate, nitrite, and water hardness as part of distribution quality monitoring.I was also responsible for sample preparation and metal content analysis using ICP-OES (Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectrometry) to accurately detect trace metals in water samples. This experience significantly broadened my knowledge in water chemical analysis, laboratory method validation, and the importance of maintaining drinking water quality according to health and environmental standards.
