  I directed a staff of eight degreed individuals, two who worked out of state, in the challenge of spreading the use of continuous improvement throught the entire corporation. We created consulting and training materials, orchestrated conferences and championships, and conducted a three week, six sigma equivalent course three times a year. I managed eight machinist who made prototype parts for mechanical engineers and parts for the local manufacturing branch. I created an effective scheduling process that re-established repore between machinist and engineers. The machinist productivity increased through aloowing them to be involved in determing the best way to get jobs done and by working with engineers on providing educated delivery dates. I managed a group of 9 drafters, who supported 13 engineers in an R&D facility. I brought project management and structure to the department, which improved productivity, morale, and reduced conflict between drafters and their customer (engineer).
