In this role, he develops PMBOK-based Program Management Plans and drives the execution of product development for marine related systems to include; contributing technical expertise, hands on product development, integrating new technology, and ensuring quality, cost, and schedules are managed to contract requirements. In addition to Serco’s PM for the $982M USV FoS contract, Dr. Johnson has managed ~65 projects over the past 20 years for DoD, USCG, OGA, and foreign customers; in the past ten years, typically managing 5-6 projects simultaneously. Projects have included requirements analysis, systems integration, development of new systems, development and execution of test plans, underway testing on vessels, data analysis, and report preparation for USCG, DoD, and commercial customers. Demonstrates an impeccable track record for on-time deliverables, within budget, and to the customer’s satisfaction, supporting Government key milestones and test events.For DARPA, Dr. Johnson is leading the development of autonomy and controls architecture and software, network architectures, and topside sensor and communication systems selection for the NOMARS project. This includes managing an integrated team of Serco experts and three subcontractor teams spread across multiple locations.
